|WHAT TO EXPECT|
Tryouts Depending on age and division you may be required to attend tryouts. •All returning age 10 -13 year old baseball players DO NOT try-out. If you are new to our league or will be playing in the 9-10, 11-12 or Junior League divisions for the first time, you will need to try-out. •Softball players are not required to tryout. Teams After teams are formed, you will be contacted by your player’s team Manager. The Manager and Coach will schedule a team meeting to get acquainted and answer any questions. Team parents are an important component to the success of Charleston Central Little League, so please plan to attend. At the Team Meeting, your Manger or Coach may ask for volunteers, obtain required forms, confirm contact information, etc. As a Team Parent you will also find out important information, such as practice schedules, team name, uniform information, etc. From that point on The Manager and or Coach will update you on practice and game schedules. It is our hope to also post game schedules on our website at CCLLWV.com. As a Parent Volunteer, you can assist the Managers and Coaches by keeping score, working the concession, helping in the dug out, etc. Please notify any Board member, Manager or Coach if you want to be a Volunteer. Parent/Volunteer Pledge I will teach all children to play fair and do their best. I will positively support all managers, coaches and players. I will respect the decisions of the umpires. I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game. First Year Players If this is your first time playing baseball/softball there are some items you may need to purchase for play. Every player will be issued a jersey/shirt and a hat. The jersey and hat are yours to keep. You will need: • Glove • Cleats • Baseball Pants • Socks • Belt Please make sure you check with your Managers/Coaches as to what equipment you will need prior to purchase.
